GPS Soil Mapping and precision farming advice
Our agronomists have extensive experience in interpreting the data from today’s precision farming tools, helping you get the most out of your investment.
Extracting the true benefits from precision farming technologies relies upon an accurate assessment of data collected from sources such as yield maps, P & K maps and most importantly, local knowledge.
CCC have a range of clients who have adopted GPS technologies, satellite mapping and local soil surveys, all with different objectives in mind.
Selecting the appropriate technologies for your farming system can be challenging, and we offer unbiased, independent advice, free from commercial interest in selling either machinery or sampling packages.
Nutrient plans, soil protection reviews
We also assist our clients by providing tailored fertiliser and nutrient management plans, and provide guidance on preparing Soil Protection Reviews.
At CCC we provide tailored nutrient plans for all of your cropping, based on knowledge of local soils, crops and end user requirements. Our independent crop nutrient advice can also help you make the most of livestock manures, sewage sludges and green waste.
We regularly conduct wide-ranging surveys of grain protein nitrogen results to optimise fertiliser applications as new varieties are introduced and cropping systems evolve. We also take soil mineral nitrogen tests in early spring across our clients farms’ to guide on levels of residual nitrogen in the soil.
In addition to sampling for phosphate, potash and pH, recently we have undertaken GPS soil sampling to investigate differences in nutrient levels between defined soil types within fields.
